FAQ

Isolate the cause: (1) try a different outlet/adapter, (2) swap to another cable (high‑power USB‑C cables matter), (3) check and gently clean the port, and (4) if you’re using a MagSafe-style charger, re‑center the phone and remove any wallet/stand attachments that can block alignment. Stop charging immediately if you notice swelling, burning smell, or extreme heat.

The biggest factors are charger wattage, cable quality, and heat. Wireless/MagSafe charging slows down when alignment is off or the device gets warm; remove thick accessories and charge on a cool, hard surface. Using a case with strong magnetic alignment can help keep coils centered, and don’t run heavy apps while charging.

Power off the device first. Use a dry, soft brush or compressed air in short bursts to remove lint. If debris is stuck, use a non‑metal pick (wood/plastic) very gently. Avoid liquids and don’t scrape the contacts.

Mild warmth is normal—fast charging, wireless charging, and poor ventilation can all raise temperature. It becomes a problem if it’s too hot to touch, you get a temperature warning, or you see swelling. Use certified chargers, avoid thick stacked accessories on MagSafe pads, and charge on a hard surface with airflow.

It uses electromagnetic induction between a charger coil and a phone coil. Alignment matters because off‑center coils waste energy as heat, reducing speed. MagSafe-ready magnets help keep coils centered for more consistent charging—especially important on higher-watt pads.
